My client is a leading IT Managed Service organisation who provide IT Support, Cloud, Consultancy and Project Management.

The Role

These roles will be office based. Most of the time in the Bromley office but with the opportunity to spend time visiting our partner’s offices.

The candidate will initially be required to work alongside the sales team generating new business opportunities for the established Account Managers. This will allow the candidates to learn about the professional services, our partner’s technologies and the sales cycle.

We would expect between 18 – 24 months of learning before the candidates are be able to start taking on new responsibilities and step up to start managing their own accounts. Learning about sales, technology and how to do business ethically and profitably. At this stage the role is akin to managing your own business with control over the costs, pricing and therefore profit that can be generated from clients.

We expect established Account Managers to be earning multiples of their basic salary, therefore in making the step up from a junior sales role, the earning potential is huge.

If someone works hard and is dedicated to this role they will progress. We have many staff here that have started working in junior roles and progressed through the business.

Training will be provided to ensure candidates are happy dealing with:

Cold calling

Warm leads

Company and product knowledge around technical support contracts/cloud/hosting/disaster recovery/procurement of hardware and licensing

Partner/Vendor sales campaigns

Candidate

We are looking for two people with drive, ambition and enthusiasm to work in the sales team.

The sales environment is fast paced and technical so the candidate must be willing to learn and most importantly work hard to keep up with the existing team.

Lots of time will be spent on the phone talking to potential new clients so the ability to build rapport with people quickly is key. We will look for this during the interview process.

Given the environment is also quite technical it is vital that the candidates are willing to learn about the business benefits of the technologies that we use. Technology is changing constantly so an interest in emerging tech is something that will help the candidates.

A clear and concise manner in conversation will also help. Thinking about who our potential customers are and how they want to engage and be spoken to is the key to winning.

Strong Maths and English skills are required to allow the candidates to liaise with clients over email and through proposals. We will look at this during the interview process and may test candidates.

Desirable:

An understanding of Microsoft Licensing Programs. It would be sensible to consider these prior to an interview.

An understanding of business benefits of Servers, Storage and Networking.
