We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to join a well-established nursery group in Putney, London. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style and experience of managing Ofsted inspections.

Person Specification:
BA in Childcare or Early Years Professional Status
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience of managing Safeguarding and Health & Safety
Track record of involvement in Ofsted Inspections
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)

Some of the Nursery Manager responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring the nursery is a welcoming, safe, stimulating environment for all the children that attend
• Key holder and daily management of the nursery in accordance with relevant legislation, local authority and Ofsted requirements
• Working closely with directors and managing KPI’s
• Partnership working with parents and key interfacing groups
• Staff recruitment, induction, ongoing supervisions, conducting regular staff assessments, identifying and sourcing training needs
• Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities in line with EYFS to develop all aspects of the child's interindividual learning and development
• Ensuring staff adhere to and understand all nursery policy and procedures
• Managing budgets and keep accurate records of staffing, payroll, banking, petty cash, issuing invoices and fee collection
• Managing Staff Rotas and meetings effectively deployment of staff in line with regulatory requirements
• Maintaining accurate records to include accident, incident, medication, registers and risk assessment
• Marketing the nursery, arranging leaflet drops, open days etc
• To ensure the nursery is running to its full capacity by effectively managing enquiries, conducting show-rounds, operating a waiting list, as appropriate
• To attend out of working hours’ activities, to include training, staff meetings, parents’ evenings and special events
• Working 35 Hours per week
