Production Quality Engineer Sudbury Salary Negotiable
Due to expansion our client needs to recruit a Production Quality Engineer to assist the General Manager establish, maintain and improve product quality standards throughout the company. They will ensure that all products despatched conform to customer's specific requirements and will assist with the maintenance and development of the quality management systems to ISO9001.

Product inspection and testing to ensure functionality, integrity, performance and robustness of all released products.
Enhance test and Quality procedures, processes and standards to ensure ongoing quality improvements across all released products.
Ensure that appropriate Quality / Inspection is conducted on all incoming manufactured and purchased components, specifically ensuring that they meet the requirements of the purchase order and referenced specifications.
Carry out all inspection/test work as required in-house, at suppliers' premises and at customer sites.
Identify, record and report Quality problems, liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues, with effective 'corrective and preventative' measures.
Participate in the inspection and evaluation of equipment returned from customer sites for examination and rectification.
Monitoring products or events to establish that identified Quality problems have been eliminated.
Control of non-conforming product to the defined procedures.
Calibration of inspection measuring equipment as required.
Internal auditing and maintenance of the various Quality Approvals as required.
Support continual improvements projects.

Skills & Experience
Must have a good working understanding of engineering / ISO standards and specifications relating to purchased and manufactured parts.
Experience of working in a manufacturing and maintenance environment.
An understanding of Quality Systems and previous experience within an ISO9001 environment.
Clear, concise and articulate communication skills (both written and verbal). Confident and professional when dealing with customers.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Organised, assertive and capable of working on own initiative whilst remaining a strong team player.
Flexible and adaptable, responds well to change.
Professional conduct displayed at all times. Calm under pressure.
Plastics experience would be an advantage

Hours 8.00 5.00 Monday to Friday
Holiday 22 days plus bank holiday
