The company are an international provider of software solutions to the construction industry and strive to build and develop cutting edge industry leading products. Due to the continued success of their development teams and constant investment in new products they are looking to bring on a new Segment Manager.

The role involves performing market analysis to determine success criteria and using this to create product business roadmaps. You will present detailed business plans for approval where you will then coordinate with different teams to ensure progress including Documentation, Product Support, Pricing Strategy and Product Education. You will continue to monitor the market results taking corrective action where required

Ultimate success in the position will be determined by your ability to intimately understand the industry environment, articulate objectives that lead to success, and harness the wider company elements towards offering a complete portfolio of solutions for your defined vertical market.

The Role

*Performs market analyses that identify all relevant current and future market elements that determine market success.
*Creates product business roadmap that based on market analysis
*Presents and sells the business plan to management for project approval.
*Responsible for high level product definition after project approval.
*Coordinates together with all departments to ensure progress for Product Documentation, Support, Pricing and Education
Monitors market results
*Ensures that the Company/Product is represented in industry trade associations, technical working groups, seminars, etc.

The Person

*Demonstrate leadership in a team-based environment
*Communicates clearly, both verbally and in writing.
*Demonstrates organizational good sense on when to "lead from the front" and
when to participate.
*Comprehensive knowledge of product positioning and pricing theory.
*Ability to perform rigorous market analyses in spite of high levels of ambiguity.
*Ability to perform competitor, potential new entrant and market segmentation analysis.
*Ability to perform distribution channel modelling.
*Solid understanding of branding and be able to work with appropriate interfaces to develop and refine branding strategy when necessary.
