OUR CLIENT PREMIER TRAVEL
OUR CLIENT Premier Travel opened in Croydon on the 1st April 2000 dealing primarily with Corporate Travel.
OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF THE POST
- To bring new business, primarily in the form of small to medium size corporate accounts into the agency.
- To call on and service existing corporate accounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To make the required number of contacts to prospective corporate clients, resulting in appointments with corporate travel decision makers, group leaders, and human resource decision makers. Delivery of presentations and closed sales, resulting in targets being met and increased turnover for the agency.
To ensure that the OUR CLIENT New Agency Onstream Process is followed and successfully implemented in the agency.
To service the account as the liaison to the agency by follow-up meetings and bringing feedback to the agency.
To review corporate account management reports and ensure the travellers and the companies are registered with the relevant frequent flyers and corporate airline incentives.
Training and Networking
To attend OUR CLIENT sales training and other prescribed OUR CLIENT courses, networking sessions, Business Development Managers’ meetings, and other relevant courses.
Knowledge of OUR CLIENT Agency Sales Manual
Upon joining OUR CLIENT, the Business Development Manager is expected to read and review the OUR CLIENT Agency Sales Manual and other relevant OUR CLIENT manuals.
Produce Weekly Sales Reports
The Business Development Manager is expected to meet daily with the Managing Director and produce weekly sales reports tracking and monitoring sales calls and results.
MAINTAINING A DATABASE
To implement where necessary and maintain an accurate and up to date database of current and possible clients.
DRAW UP AND IMPLEMENT A MARKETING PLAN
To work with the Managing Director in producing and implementing an annual marketing plan. Ensuring compliance with the marketing plan, and updating this where necessary.
The Business Development Manager is expected to attend presentations and seminars presented by travel suppliers throughout the year. The Business Development Manager is also expected to help arrange and attend relevant trade fairs/exhibitions to promote OUR CLIENT Premier Travel and bring in new business.
An educational trip report (where applicable) is to be written and given to the Managing Director within 1 week of returning from an educational trip. A thank you letter to all suppliers and hosts of the educational must also be written immediately upon return.
REPORTS TO: Managing Director
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business to business sales.
- Excellent organisation skills.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Excellent account management skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Self motivated.
- Computer literate.
- Car owner.
- Full clean driving license.
- Willingness to learn about the travel industry and keep up to date with the relevant changes.
Salary £20,000 - £25,000 OTE £40,000
