We’re delighted to be given the task of finding the right candidate for this exciting opportunity with our client.
They are looking for someone to effectively develop and service new and existing business opportunities within the group. To enable them to meet, or exceed annual growth, profit targets and customer expectations.

Specific Responsibilities:-

As a technical sales engineer, you will need to:
• Search for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential in designated regions.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements. Existing clients must be contacted at a minimum every 3 months. Use feedback to continually improve service.
• Persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.
• Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
• Carefully and accurately communicate all details of customer requirements to all appropriate personnel and organise and attend pre-quote reviews as necessary
• Calculate client quotations and administer client accounts including adding contracts etc onto the current operating system.
• Ensure all quotations are raised and followed up within 24 hours
• Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
• Arrange and carry out product training where necessary
• Analyse costs and sales and prepare monthly reports for management meetings
• Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
• Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
• Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
• Help in the design of custom-made products
• Provide training and produce support material for other members of the sales team as required
• Propose and agree growth strategies that will enable the company to exceed the annual growth targets
• Work with New Business Development Manager to set sales budgets for the year.

• To support ISO9001:2015 throughout the Company.
• To support the improvement of quality throughout the Company.
• To ensure the New Project Workbook is filled in, in the appropriate manner.

Continuous Improvement:
• All employees are encouraged to take part in the companies Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) scheme.
• Refine quotation system to give best accuracy.
• Implement customer feed back to continuously improve their service.

• To maintain a clean and tidy working environment
• To work within the companies Health and Safety policy.
• To support New Product Reviews.
• Use formal customer satisfaction survey techniques twice per year to gain feedback.
• Compile and issue visit reports. Verbally communicate visit details where necessary.
• You should expect to work long or irregular hours to meet deadlines, secure deals and attend conferences and networking events.
