The Role: Our Client is a leading audio-visual and collaboration organisation specialising in the delivery and support of videoconferencing, audio visual and interactive presentation solutions to both public and private sector organisations.
This role will involve working on projects as part of a team or independently from the start to completion, achieving sign off. You will report to the project manager whilst on site and deliver the job to the documented specification.
In addition, senior engineers will provide team leadership and liaise with management as required.
Flexibility in working patterns and some overnight stays are essential as you will attend site installations throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

Essential
· Technical skills and understanding of VC solutions and IT network infrastructures.
· Prior experience in field based VC/AV engineering within an audio visual/unified communications and/or IT networking environment - installing, testing and commissioning audio and video technologies from first fix to end of job sign off.
· Experience of field based AV/VC maintenance (break/fix)
· A clear understanding of Immersive Telepresence, Desktop Telepresence, audio and video systems and their related network infrastructure.
· Rack building
· An understanding of systems integration with IP networks and existing IT systems
· Experience of Cisco/Tandberg endpoints
· Soldering
· Computer literate - Microsoft Word & Excel.
· Full clean UK driving licence
· Current passport
· Security Clearance (required within first 6 months of employment - funded and organised by the Company)
Desirable
· Familiarity with Extron control systems technology
· Knowledge of Bridges and TMS, Polycom solutions and other VC platforms
· Experience with interactive technologies e.g. whiteboards

Hours: Normal hours of work are 37.5 hours on 5 days per week. Overtime is paid if there is a requirement to work additional hours to meet the needs of the business.
