THE ROLE:

The team plays a key role in providing analytical expertise in a multi-disciplined analytical division.
This includes Customer Analytics, Predictive Modelling and Web & Mobile App Analytics.
The objective is to provide deep analytics, insight & predictive modelling support to all stakeholders, by harnessing the power of large data sets and cutting-edge analytics to produce accurate, insightful and actionable output - all of which has a direct impact on Online strategy
By doing this, it will enable the team and overall brand to understand and build relationships with customers

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Work with stakeholders to understand how the business operates.
*Source, develop and deliver analytical output that recognises commercial drivers
*Design, build and implement scalable analytic solutions
*Learn and develop new analytical and technical skills, as well as potential tools/solutions, required to drive towards better outcomes for the team, the Online Division and the overall company
*Become a central contributor to the ambitious, energetic and development-focused atmosphere within the wider division
*Conduct insight-generating data-driven research into key business drivers, customer management, financial performance and retention
*Work to develop & refine high-quality, widely-understood & fit-for-purpose predictive models which can be applied to give insight to the complex uncertainties the stakeholders face such as Churn, Propensity and Cross-Sell Modelling;
*Create high-quality presentations that clearly explain the value of the analysis and the recommendations and actions - communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences

EXPERIENCE:

*Strong track record in analysis, data manipulation and modelling
*Experience in developing statistical models and applying them in a commercial environment
*In-depth knowledge of standard predictive modelling techniques such as Linear / Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, etc.
*Highly proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
*Experience working with SQL an advantage
*SAS/ SQL / SPSS or R
*Ability to communicate with impact
*An interest in social media is an advantage
*Degree educated in a scientific or statistical subject
*Have a track record for identifying high impact business improvement opportunities, and for planning and delivering a fit-for-purpose solution
