Job Title: Senior Tutor
Location: Leeds
Hourly Rate: £12.69 per hour including statutory holiday pay, 35 hours per week.

Protocol is pleased to be working on behalf of a social justice charity who helps vulnerable people to change their lives and to reach their full potential by addressing social exclusion, inequality of opportunity and deprivation. They design and deliver services that equip people with the skills, advice, attitude and support they need to move their lives forward and to become part of their community. Their services cover education, housing, substance misuse treatment and the prevention of reoffending.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Tutor for a full-time position starting as soon as possible for approx. 3 months.

Duties & Responsibilities are not limited to but include:
*Deliver the planned curriculum and quality of delivery within the designated centre ensuring high quality teaching and learning is delivered within your assigned area.
*Deliver on the forecasted learner numbers within the designated centre and take prompt action to ensure that targets are met.
*In addition to your teaching role, provide day-to-day management and support to the tutors assigned to you. Ensure that student data is reported and entered into the MIS in line with internal and external audit requirements as well as accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including your own.
*Oversee timely registration of learners and claiming of achievements with awarding organisations as well as preparing for external quality visits and inspections.
*Coordinate and implement successful assessment and verifications systems in all responsible curriculum areas ensuring that delivery, assessment and verification staff possess suitable competencies.
*Establish and maintain strong relationships with awarding bodies and ensure that regular quality improvement meetings are held.
*Support the Faculty Manager with student retention and achievement raising standards year on year.

Suitable candidates will meet the following criteria:
*Qualified teacher.
*An understanding of current Inspection Framework and Ofsted criteria and strategies to tackle underperformance in challenging circumstances.
*Achieving and maintaining a graded teaching observation at level 2.
*A proven track record of managing a similar environment and for driving up the quality of services.
*Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the barriers facing disadvantaged learners who have a history in the youth and criminal justice system. (Desirable)
*A current DBS Check
