A Technical Quality Manager is required for a long established, market leading manufacturer of fresh foods. Remaining family owned, they are now a large successful company offering fantastic working conditions and a very good package for the right person.

To be considered for the role the Technical Quality Manager must have worked within a predominantly hands on position. It will be important to have good technical food knowledge, managerial skills and H+S and environmental awareness. Good knowledge of microbiological hazards and quality systems would be beneficial. Ideally the candidate will have worked within a fast paced fresh produce environment, dealing heavily with quality issues and liaising with manufactures that the company supplies.

The Technical Quality Manager will report into the General Manager of the facility and be responsible for overseeing 6 Quality Assurance Technicians. The role will be fast paced, dealing with fresh produce that is supplied to food manufactures. The successful candidate will be involved heavily in process and improvements, ensuring the highest of quality is met at all times.

The Technical Quality Manager will:

* Manage, train, motivate and audit a team of 6 engineers and technicians.
* Maintain and improve hygiene and technical procedures.
* Developing and monitoring HACCP, TACCP and other quality systems.
* Keen attention to detail and a scientific approach to the way that you work.
* Overall responsibility for technical standards.
* Hands on role dealing heavily with production and process.

The Technical Quality Manager:

* Experience overseeing a team of Quality Assurance Technicians.
* Experience carrying out audits and working to high standards of practise.
* Experience dealing with manufacturers and the production line.
* Experience working within either food, drinks, pharmaceuticals or similar.
* Good knowledge of HACCP, TACCP and other quality systems
