£50,000 - £55,000 plus company car allowance, pension, healthcare
Oldham, Lancashire

Our client is now recruiting a Contracts Manager to work on a rage of new build and refurbishment projects up to a value of £3 million per project within the education, public sector and private housing, commercial and health sectors.

As the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the following areas;

• Responsible for leading projects from start to completion and delivering multiple projects on time and on budget
• Act as the Project Leader and first point of contact for the Client, Consultant, Design Team, Site Supervisor, Sub-contractors and members of the public
• Develop the budget and work time estimates and input into monthly valuations for the projects under your responsibility.
• Take full responsibility for implementing and monitoring the construction programme from start through to the end of DLP.
• Liaise with the Client and design team to discuss development requirements and aid in the structural development and planning process of the project
• Indirect responsibility for Site Supervisors and site labour.

The successful Contracts Manager will have the following skill set and experience;

• Proven track record in overseeing multiple construction projects from start through to completion and delivering them on time and on budget.
• Experience in leading, managing and motivating site team/sub-contract partners.
• You are expected to work to ensure we follow quality/health and safety and environmental procedures laid down by the Company adhering to ISO 9001/14001/18001 guidelines.
• You are required to work as part of a team to complete work related tasks to ensure the smooth running of the projects and the business as a whole.
• A solid understanding of Code for Sustainable Homes, Section Agreements, building regulations and safety issues
• Able to comprehend technical construction plans
Attention to detail and a good practical approach to problem solving
• Able to work on multiple projects at a time
• Good IT skills – MS Project, Excel, Word
• CSCS Professional/Contracts Manager Card
• SMSTS Trained
