Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a permanent Accounts Assistant for an exciting, expanding business based in South Manchester.

The successful candidate will have previous exposure to accountancy packages and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel. They must have a can do attitude and be flexible in their approach to work.

Key responsibilities required for the Accounts Assistant:

* Assist the Group Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Managing petty cash transactions
* Posting monthly journals in the Navision accounting system
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Bank reconciliations
* Balance sheet preparation
* Depreciation and amortisation calculations
* Assisting Purchase Ledger team with daily queries
* Processing daily payments
* Uploading exchange rates into the Navision system
* Assisting the wider Group Finance team with reconciliation of intercompany loan accounts and posting of revaluation journals
* Production of monthly Rolling Forecast reports
* Any ad-hoc tasks as required

Key requirements required for the Accounts Assistant:

* This role is suitable for an individual who is ideally either a finance graduate or AAT qualified/part-qualified with some previous experience in a finance role
* Candidate must demonstrate a keen interest to pursue a career in finance
* Efficient and well organised individual
* Experience using Excel and Word
* Strong communication skills, in particular when contacting other finance teams in relation to variances
* Pro-active with a "can do" attitude
* Ability to take responsibility for delivering to deadlines as required
