Our client is well renowned within the events industry. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an articulate, creative and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to join their friendly and growing team. The role is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

* Completely co-ordinating the hosted buyer programme including:
* Making the initial contact with potential visitors, explaining the programme, convincing them to be part of it
* Getting them to fill in registration forms/travel details forms
* Booking flights and hotel rooms for visitors
* Uploading them onto the online meeting planner system and explaining to them how it works
* Contacting exhibitors that have received meeting requests and explaining to them how the system works
* Monitoring all parties so that the correct number of meetings are set
* Managing the programme at the event
* Calling exhibitors to guide them in their event participation promotion
* Managing the online educational programme – including contacting exhibitors for their seminar information, uploading all sessions into the conference manager tool, updating where required
* Chase exhibitors for outstanding sponsorship assets
* Assisting with proof-reading of marketing materials
* Uploading of blogs onto Wordpress site
* Website audit
* General marketing admin tasks

The candidate:

* Fluency in English (native)
* Nice to have: American English
* Experience in online and offline direct marketing
* Good database management skills
* Excellent copywriting and verbal communication skills
* Strong time and project management skills
* Good multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritise
* Ability to meet deadlines within budget and under pressure
* Strong marketing experience and ideally a marketing qualification (e.g. CIM)
* Experience in an event / exhibition / conference environment would be an advantage
* Online content management / Web skills an advantage
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Adobe Photoshop experience would be an advantage
