My Client is a specialist bespoke company within the Fire & Security industry, specialising in fire alarms and other associated electronic life safety systems. Due to expansion of a new division, my client is looking to bring on board an experienced commissioning engineer to work alongside the project manager.

It is intended that this role will ultimately lead onto a project engineering position; potential candidates should be both willing to learn and ambition to develop a long term career.

The Role:

- This is day to day involvement with projects. It`s attending site, liaising with customers and other third parties involved with the project and most importantly liaison with the installation team (including regular pre-commissioning of installations
- At specific stages of a project, pre-commissioning data needs to be collected to ensure that the installation has been carried out correctly
- Final commissioning of the system will involve testing through everything that`s been installed and loading systems software to test that the cause and effect required by the client operates as planned
- Regular liaison with the project manager is vital to ensure that he is fully aware of the current position of projects ahead of/during commissioning and is something that you will be responsible for.

- Reports need to be prepared on a weekly basis that outline our project progress against program and identify anything that is likely to de-rail us from delivering this project on time, on budget and to the customer`s total satisfaction.

This position is based from home and predominantly out on site – covering London and South East

Experience / Skills Required:

- Expertise with electronic life safety systems including fire detection and alarms, communications systems and PAVA.
- A good understanding of the application of BS5839 (all parts)
- A good understanding of the principles of fire protected installations
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- A strong work ethnic, honest and reliable
