£30,000 per annum + Overtime at 1.5 and 2.0 x base rate. + Bonus. OTE £35,000.

Contributory Pension + Life Cover + Benefits + 25+8 days holiday

Monday to Friday days role, early finish on Friday

Manufacturing engineer from a multi skilled background sought for a highly successful manufacturer offering fantastic training opportunities.

The company are in an exciting period of growth and are looking to grow by a further 50 staff in line with recent success. With an increased budget for staff development the company are in a position to support structured training including formal qualifications to degree level if deemed beneficial to the role.

The role will be suited to mechanically biased engineers with knowledge of plc fault finding and automated machinery. Those fully multi skilled would be ideally matched although a mechanical background would be preferred due to the split for the role being mechanically biased, full training can be provided on the electrical/automation machinery for the right candidate. You could be currently in a manufacturing engineers role or a maintenance engineer looking to step into and manufacturing engineers role.

The core function of the role will be to ensure the smooth and continuous running of the plant through continuous change and advancement. You will be involved in machinery layout design for new machines to be implemented, work on problems bedding in new machines, assist on the automation of manual factory processes with plc’s and robotics being implemented. Knowledge of Siemens plcs and robotics knowledge will be advantageous and sheet metal manufacturing environment experience an added bonus.

The role:

* Work as part of the manufacturing team on the implementation and layout of new machinery
* Improving processes within sheet metal fabrication manufacturing environment
* Assisting with the automation of manual processes.
* Work paid weekday and weekend overtime as required within projects

The Person:

* A manufacturing engineer or maintenance engineer from a high volume manufacturing background, sheet metal background ideal.
* Mechanically biased multi skilled engineer
* Any robotics or automation experience ideal
* Live commutable to Plymouth
