Desktop Support Engineer - Windows

Desktop Support Engineer required by an MSP that specialise in providing their services to the legal sector, they are well renowned and recognised in their field and are in the period of accelerating their growth to support their ever growing customer base. They have field engineers and also a medium sized team that remains onsite at the head office to provide remote over the phone and e-mail support this is where the Desktop Support Engineer will sit providing 2nd Line Support to a broad customer base.

The Desktop Support Engineer will work predominantly with the Windows stack and solve tickets that get escalated up from the 1st Line team, providing excellent over the phone and e-mail communication with the customers to keep them up to date with the progress of their issue. Most of the issues the Desktop Support Engineer will deal with will involve Active Directory queries and issues, Windows Server issues and tickets associated with problems on Exchange. As the role progresses the Desktop Engineer will become more tech savvy and get into work involving HyperV and Citrix.

From the Desktop Support Engineer, we are looking for someone with enthusiasm and passion for delivering a great technical support service and is comfortable with Windows technologies and Servers and able to deal with issues relating to Active Directory and Exchange. Ideally, the Desktop Support Engineer will have prior experience in an ITIL environment and can understand why ITIL is beneficial to the running of a Support Desk.
