Sheridan Maine are currently assisting in the recruitment for a Cost Data Analyst on a 6 month fixed term contract within a large, global retail organisation based in Paddington.

This role will provide support to the Total Acquisition Cost (TAC) specialist by providing accurate, complete and validated unit costs and overhead cost allocation rules. This in turn will help drive effective range and sourcing decisions, develop transfer prices and recommended retail prices, and facilitate cost performance improvement activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial analysis and Cost Data collection / validation to support the build, test, run and maintenance of an all new end - to - end acquisition cost model

• Capturing all direct and indirect costs related to product design, quality, sourcing, logistics and retail distribution

• Capture and validate all direct and indirect unit costs (standard costs) used as the basis for KIPL's Total Acquisition Cost (TAC) Model

• Obtain Distribution Centre costs by activity across 9 operating companies

• Standardise / Harmonise unit costs across the operating companies

• Assist operational teams to derive and periodically update unit costs (e.g. time motion studies to determine distribution centre process costs)

• Interact with operating companies and global sourcing offices to streamline costing practices

• Conduct data and cost analyses of end – to – end operations to derive accurate cost allocations

• Assist in deciphering reports to understand our margin variances & evolution

• Assist in the functional testing of online (SAP-based) and offline (Excel – based) costing models

• Supporting ad-hoc projects and initiatives

The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis techniques and a proven experience within a similar role and sector. Strong Excel skills are essential and a working knowledge of SAP is a strong plus. It is important for the successful candidate to have an understanding of cost drivers in an international context and global Wholesaling operating models, alongside and understanding of supply / logistics and distribution functions.
