Fantastic NEW ROLE! I have an excellent opportunity for a Production Manager looking to join a dynamic, industry leading Engineering business. They are a well regarded manufacturing outfit who are going through a sustained period of growth, and have a superb reputation for developing their people.

THE ROLE

Supporting the Operations Director, the main purpose of the role will be to lead, facilitate and pro-actively drive all production activities within the business. You will be managing in a high performing, CNC machining environment where key responsibilities will be to Implement and control the production schedule from actual demand and forecast and Develop and implement standard operating procedures for production operations. Other key accountabilities will include;

* Review and adjust the schedule where needed, communicate changes to all parties

* Determine and manage the resources required (human, material and process)

* Make decisions about scheduled and unplanned maintenance.

* Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures are carried out.

* Enforce and monitor product quality standards.

THE PERSON

The ideal Production Manager will have a machining/ fabrications/ engineering background and will have a sound understanding of CNC machining environments. On top of strong leadership qualities, key experiences will include;

* Experience in a production/ manufacturing management role

* Experienced working in Engineering environments (Ideally CNC Machining)

* Excellent communication skill

* Knowledge of Production Scheduling driven from actual and forecasted demand.

* Knowledge and experience in batch production, manufacturing processes and techniques.

* Industry qualifications (NEBOSH/ SIX Sigma) preferred, but not essential
