£45,000 to £55,000 + Negotiable package including Vehicle + Bonus + Holiday + Pension.

Technical Production Manager required for a well established supplier to leading supermarkets. The successful candidate can expect fantastic career prospects going forwards, working in a fast paced yet highly rewarding role.

The position will appeal to both hands on candidates looking for an exciting development project to oversee and manage, as well as Managers looking to take the next career step.

To be considered for the role, the Technical Production Manager Position you must have experience working within a food growing nursery. The successful candidate must have strong fresh produce food growing knowledge, ideally within a greenhouse environment. A Technical food background is therefore necessary as the role is predominantly hands on. Experience Managing staff, training staff, and dealing heavily with environmental issues will be critical. It would be highly beneficial if the Technical Production Manager has had past experience managing redevelopment plans and site expansion, by heading research and budgets.

The Technical Production Manager will report into the commercial Director and will hold overall responsibility and management for the 2 growing sites and the Site Manager. This position will be predominantly hands on, as the successful applicant will only be expected to spend around 10% of their time in an office environment. The fundamentals of the role are to ensure smooth running of the food nurseries, development and training of managers and heading up of the current redevelopment programme for the business.

The Technical Production Manager will:

* Have Involvement in managing and developing current staff and processes.
* Deal heavily with the technical information within a greenhouse food growing environment.
* Responsible for environmental issues.
* Heavily involved in the development programme and future planned growth for the company.
* 90% hands on between two sites and 10% office based.
* Travel is only 15 minutes between both sites and office.

The Technical Production Manager:
