An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insurance Commercial Account Handler to become part of a highly credible and innovative business based in Blackburn.

This retentions role gives you the opportunity to offer your clients a thorough advisory service and a positive customer experience. This is not about retaining for retentions sake this is about supporting your customer every step of the way and offer a service they will want to come back to time and time again.

This employer offers great development prospects to grow your insurance career. You will be working closely with a large portfolio of clients, stakeholders and leadership teams and the role will be an integral part of this commercially driven business.

Responsibilities

• Provide a vital point of contact for business customers whose policies are due to expire or may be looking to cancel their services with the company
• Identify and actively pursue steps to enhance your relationship with customers, aiming to add value to the relationship and secure customers for the longer term
• Offer knowledge and advice of new products and services to your customer, overcome any specific objections and resolve any issues to retain the customer
• Communicating with confidence, understanding the customer needs, use objection handling and negotiating skills to explore and address issues that caused the customer to seek to cancel
• Utilising online quote facilities - training provided if required
• Managing own book of commercial clients, dealing with all aspects of the annual insurance cycle including renewal
• Cross selling other insurance products and referring into other divisions

Key requirements and skills:

• Insurance retention and renewals experience within the commercial sector is essential
• Able to build good working relations with business customers as well as within the team
• A team player, ready and able to balance achieving individual and team goals
• Excellent communication skills, with understanding and conviction
• Able to use initiative when engaging with customers
• A good telephone manner, able to adapt tone and direction to suit the needs of customers
• Experience of working with key performance indicators, in a target-driven sales environment and an understanding of customer retentions is essential
