Continuous Improvement Engineer Essex Permanent c£38,000 ( Monday to Friday)

We are pleased to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Engineer /Reliability Engineer to join a leading FMCG company in Essex.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be focused on improving OEE across their area which will be achieved through effective team coaching and utilising world class manufacturing tools.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Perform 5S audit according to schedule and implement improvements.
Ensure breakdown analysis is undertaken for component/machinery failures, implementing countermeasures to eliminate root cause.
Review KPI's and conduct gap analysis for improvement plans.
Lead technical preventative maintenance as required.
Maintain effective communication channel with shift engineers regarding details of breakdowns, losses, breakdown analysis reports, improvements etc.
Apply equipment ranking to prioritise planned maintenance.
Lead improvement activities to improve efficiency, reduce cost and support operators with completing kaizens as required.
Complete a cost analysis to ensure improvements are cost effective prior to implementing.

Candidate Requirements:
Experience gained within the FMCG industry is essential.
Time served apprentice trained engineer qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above.
Mechanical & Electrical skills
Able to demonstrate knowledge of lean manufacturing/CI principles such as 5s and RCA, FMECA, RCM or CMMS.
First class communication, time management and organisation skills.
