Management Accountant - Newton Aycliffe

We currently have a permanent and full time post immediately available for a suitable candidate to join our client as a Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity that will best suit a hands-on and results focused part qualified accountant who is hungry for a new challenge and passionate about working for a fast moving, growth driven business.

The successful candidate will:-

* PART qualified ACCA/CIMA
* Have Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Table and Formulae skills
* Desire to improve processes
* Prior experience of the following is necessary:
o Manufacturing and cost accounting
o ERP or MRP software experience including report writing and streamlining
o Proven experience of monthly management accounts including KPI's
o Statutory Audit and preparation of statutory accounts would be advantageous

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the responsibilities will include:-

* Monthly management accounts to meet strict deadlines
* Investigation and explanation of profit variances
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Streamlining the accounts functions in ERP software
* Prepare for the year-end audit files and liaise with the external auditors regarding queries and reports
* Bank Reconciliation and cash flow Statements including currency transfers
* Assist with:
o Training of the Accounts Assistant in the following:
EC Sales/Intrastat returns
VAT Returns
Standard Monthly Journals and Reconciliations
o Reports for Board presentations
o Monthly Bridge
o Preparation of statutory annual accounts and tax pack
* Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Financial Controller

The salary for this position will be £28,000 to £35,000 per annum plus 5% pension and 25 days holiday per annum plus national holidays (Hours are 37.5 hours per week)
