Nursery Manager Required in Lincoln, Full Time position Starting Salary: £21,000-£24,000
Report to: Director of the nursery

I am currently representing a local nursery who is looking for their next nursery manager. They are looking for an inspirational nursery manager, filled with full commitment and passion for teaching, leading their team to ensure that each and every child reaches their full potential.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The main aspect for a nursery manager's role is to assist the director in delivering a high quality childcare and education following the EYFS and the Montessori Method. They are therefore looking for an inspirational deputy nursery manager, helping motivate, encourage, lead and bring ownership to all team players. Helping to promote the nursery's logo "The spark to education".

It is crucial that the nursery manager must have obtained either one of the following:

* A minimum of a level 3 in childcare or equivalent, preferably a Montessori Level 3/4 Diploma, or a higher qualification in early years childhood studies (can provide further training)
* Two years of managing
* Ideally a safeguarding and a paediatric first aid qualification.
* GCSE in both Maths and English at the level of grade C or above
* You will need to have a sound working knowledge in accordance with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) in order to lead the nursery to outstanding status.

Key areas to assist the manager in;

* Promote the aims and objectives of the nursery
* Promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
* Ensure the provision of high standards of physical, personal, social and emotional care
* Lead a team of professional workers and to ensure good practice at all times
* To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, good practice, nursery policies and procedures
* Adhere to, and to assist supporting all team members to understand and follow, the legal requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Follow and support staff to understand and implement the *Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Follow all relevant Acts including the Equality Act 2010 and the Data Protection Act 1998
* Supporting all team members to work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members
* Assisting all administrative duties
* Assisting in Co-coordinating and chairing staff meetings
* Having the initiative to assist on developing ideas
* Assist the development and implementation of systems to monitor and record child development
* Oversee that the agreed high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
* Ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children regardless of any disabilities, family backgrounds or medical history
* Report back to the Senior Team as required with information relating to finance, quality of the provision and anything else deemed necessary
