Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a very well established & respected Building Services Consultancy in Birmingham who are in the process of expanding.

As the successful applicant, you would be joing a vibrant office engaged in some of the most interesting and challenging projects across the country and abroad. As a business, my client has been involved in the delivery of many of Birmingham's landmark buildings including the Cube, Baskerville House, Birmingham Town Hall, New Street Station and Birmingham City University Conservatoire to name a few. The Partner led team of around 75 people in Birmingham office are one of 11 locations in the UK with a total Practice compliment of more than 750 people with a growing international presence.

My client is looking for dynamic, creative people to join their team and they have a range of exciting opportunities with tremendous potential to develop your talents with the support of fellow team members and the broader Practice. The current Birmingham team are dedicated, talented and friendly individuals who also enjoy a wide range of social activities from fell running, cycling and football for the fitness fans through to games nights, quiz sessions or simply going to the pub!

As the successful Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be someone with a good breadth of experience and will be responsible for taking briefs and delivering projects from inception to completion. You will be working on/running projects ranging from approx. £1m through to £100m and will therefore be responsible for HVAC Design. Developing and producing reports, specifications, guidance notes and general correspondence, ensuring quality and technical quality standards are met. Attending and contributing to design team meetings, client meetings, pre-contract and post-contract meetings and effectively managing and motivating colleagues.

Degree Qualified would be preferable however not essential. Additionally the ability to use Hevacomp and Revit would be ideal but again not essential as my client is willing to train in these areas if required.
