ob Title – Maintenance Engineer

Location – Birmingham, Walsall, Wednesbury, West Bromwich

Shifts - Monday - Friday. Double Days 6:00am – 2:00pm – 10:00pm

Salary - £32,000 - £35,000 Overtime available in the week and at weekends.

The Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer who has an electrical bias to join our client who are a large automotive business, going through a period of change and large growth due to a recent acquisition, significant machinery investment totalling 2million has already begun.

Our client is looking to triple its turnover within the next 3 years. Our client also wants to double its workforce within the next 3 years.

Our client is a Tier 1 automotive company with a history dating back to the 1950s, they specialise in producing high end parts for various OEMs in the Automotive industry in the UK.

They currently produce 600 units a day from the site they will be looking to increase this steadily over the course of the next 3 years. The client has 4 factories based at its site.

A huge improvement in design and development of our clients tooling enables them to react swiftly to their customer requirements, helping keep costs to a minimum whilst still providing the ultimate unrivalled service.

The in-house team has collaborated with Global OEM’s to design and produce distinctive parts, now seen on some of the world’s premium vehicles.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

You will be responsible for responding to technical issues affecting production & maintaining electrical and mechanical services, equipment & machinery

Reducing equipment breakdown duration and reduce the frequency of breakdowns (mean time between failures).

You will be working on CNC machines, heat treatment equipment, Fanuc robotics and controls. Working on various casting machinery and foundry related equipment.

Fault finding electrically with a multi meter and reading electrical schematics. They will also be responsible for the sites preventative maintenance and responding to ad hoc requests for repairs whilst

Fault finding experience through to input and outputs with a PLC would be desirable.

The Candidate:

* Completion of an electrical maintenance/engineering qualification.
* Experience within a manufacturing environment.
* PLC fault finding experience. Input and Outputs.
* Sound knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
* 2 years’ experience as a maintenance engineer
