An award winning National Housebuilder who build 700 units for the region annually are looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of key house building schemes in the Northamptonshire and South Midlands region.

The role:
Overseeing a number of low rise housing developments with some apartments.
Driving complex site developments from land acquisition and pre-start inspections all the way through to completion.
You will put resources in place for an effective site start and at every stage of the process you'll drive quality, control costs and make sure everything happens on time.
The better you can inspire and direct your site management teams and sub-contractors, the more effective you'll be. So it's vital that you're a professionally qualified contracts specialist who knows how to delegate, coach and motivate.
A best practice role model, you'll have worked at a senior level and shown you care as much about customers as you do about technical excellence.

Responsibilities:
Managing up to 4 house building sites at any one time with projects up to 2 phases per site and up to 200 units.
Providing support to the Construction Director
Apprentice Mentor
Ensuring that company and statutory health & safety procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment
Maintaining focus on customers to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and recommendation
Controlling varied set of subcontractors to achieve programme targets in an efficient and timely manner
Focusing on strict control of work in progress and preventing overspends and excess cost charges

The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Senior Contracts Manager,Contracts Manager,Construction Manager,Senior Project Manager,Construction Director or Build Manager in a similar house building environment.
It is essential to have an SMSTS and 1st Aid qualification, as well as a driving licence. You will have good IT skills and a proven track record successfully managing multiple house building projects
