We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager/ Surveyor for a brand new role with our fantastic client based in Bury St Edmunds. This role will add much needed additional skills and knowledge to this thriving business as such, we are seeking a candidate with previous skills and knowledge within Project Management and Surveying who is also happy to be very hands-on and customer focussed.

The company, established in 2004 Design, Manufacture and Install Skylights and Rooflights for the building services industry. Currently going through an exciting period of growth and development, the aim of finding a candidate for this role is to continue to grow the skill set within the company. As such, for the right candidate, this position could offer progression within the business as it continues to thrive.

This role will be many and varied and no two days will be the same! Primarily based either on-site or location this role will include performing the following duties and responsibilities:
• Taking complete control of the lifecycle of all projects as required
• Attending pre-contract meetings
• Performing site assessments taking into account access, accessibility and any special requirements that may be needed. This will include taking accurate measurements that will be then used within the manufacturing process
• Identifying any potential dangers on site
• Carrying out RAMS
• Acting as a point of contact for all customers, contractors, project managers and architects ensuring that full customer satisfaction is obtained at all times
• Assessing repairs as required
• Identifying potential sales opportunities and ensuring that maximum sales are achieved with each project
• Mentoring of a repair technician who will be working alongside you in this busy role

Although the company are based in Bury St Edmunds, this role will require the successful candidate to travel into London on a daily basis to carry out. As such, you will be provided with a van which will be equipped with all the tools and materials you would need to perform the tasks you will be performing on location.
Ideally we are seeking candidates with previous experience within the skylight/ rooflight industry however full training on the products can be given. Skills and attributes required in order to perform this role successfully are as follows:
• Previous experience within a similar role within Project Management or Surveying
• Aware of current Building Controls, Regulations and Standards
• A background within either Mechanical or Structural Engineering to help with the understanding of the company’s products
• Previous experience with writing RAMS
• Some knowledge of Glass, Glazing, Roof lights or Skylights would be highly desirable
• Construction industry knowledge
• CSCS Card ideally
• Happy to be flexible and adaptable
• A confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
• Fastidious attention to detail
• Happy to be hands on as required
• A strong mentor with excellent people management skills
