Leading international Automotive manufacturing organisation required a new Quality Engineer due to ongoing expansion. Candidates of interest will be experienced Quality Professionals with experience in a fast paced Automotive Manufacturing environment and will be familiar with tools such as 8D problem solving and PPAP's in a TS16949 environment.

QUALITY ENGINEER - Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits
Location Coventry

Scope of Position:
Establish the initial quality parameters and help to maintain quality throughout the life of the product.

Key Responsibilities:
Attend drawing review meetings to determine feasibility of meeting customer's requirements.
Attending preliminary / ongoing program review meetings to determine feasibility of meeting customer's requirements.
Support the activities and subsequent documentation for Customer PPAP's submissions.
Participate in capability studies on all new equipment, pre and post delivery
Review and submit of Supplier PPAP submissions to QA manager for approval.
Coordinate the development and issuance of all levels of Control Plans, Prototype, Pre-launch and Production.
Participate in PFMEA's as required
Investigation / trouble shooting for Quality concerns, including onsite visits to customers and suppliers
Participate in new programs training sessions with the operators.
Prepare and maintain gauge instructions sheets
Monitor ongoing SPC
Coordinate any "Outside Testing".
Prepare and maintain the Visual Standards boards and inspection binders in the plant.
Work in a safe manner at all times.
Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the General Procedures section of the level III Procedure manual.
Follow all Departmental General Procedures as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level III Procedure manual.
Participate in layer process audit program
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work in compliance and conform to ISO/TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.
Key areas of Authority:
Ensure that the objectives of the Business Plan are met in accordance with the framework of the company
Follow company procedures and policies as stated in the Employee Handbook
Stop any process where quality or safety issues are identified

Basic Requirements:
Possess a University / College Technical background or equivalent.
Previous experience and training in statistical methods and measurement systems
Previous experience in the automotive industry
Supervisory or Quality Engineer would be beneficial
Knowledge of ISO / TS16949 systems.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Dealing with customers and various departments in a multicultural environment.
Previous working experience with Control Plans and PFMEA's and PPAP's.
Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment
Ability to read, write and speak English.
