Our client who work in the aerospace component manufacturing industry are currently recruiting for a Contracts Specialist to join their team.

For this role you will ideally have a CIPS/IACCM or equivalent qualification, ideally have a bachelors degree or equivalent in the field of contracts, business and/or legal experience and have strong negotiation skills.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Various Forms of Contracts Drafting, Evaluation, Negotiation and Execution: Non- Disclosure Agreements, Purchasing Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Preferred Supplier Agreements, including, but not limited to: suppliers terms and conditions, confidentially agreements, service level agreements,
* Collaborate with other departments in the development of contract specifications to ensure that evolving requirements of the business, including possible improvements and innovations, security of supply, low risk and cost targets will be met,
* Understand the clarity of purpose of the contract and expected business benefits, including financial returns and risks, to eliminate inefficiency,
* On all standard and non-standard contracts, provide redline recommendation and negotiate directly with internal and external stakeholders until consensus has been reached,
* Serve as a point of contact for all stakeholders on contractual matters. Act as a contractual middleman between Company employees, suppliers and as required, customers, ensuring timely review and approval of variations,
* Provide guidance on all contract matters to internal stakeholders, including training to relevant employees in contracting practices and procedures,
* Handle on-going issues and change management, influence and support contract implementation,
* Ensure contract close-out, extension and renewal,
* Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness,
* Monitor and manage all contracts compliance in line with contracts management process. Assess and handle the impact of variations, identify opportunities, maintain deadlines,
* Monitor and ensure competitiveness of the contract, pre and post award,
* Support development of automated contract management system. Use the system and information within to measure and manage contracts deliverables,
* Participate in the activities of 'Continuous Improvement' within the department. Keep innovative, share your ideas and observations,
* Undertake various ad-hoc projects as required to support the changing requirements of the business,
* Assist other team members with their work and carry out any task where reasonable and relevant when required,
* Travel to such places (whether in or outside the UK) and in such manner and on such occasions as may be reasonably required,
* Ensure all Company rules and regulations are met,
* Responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety policies are adhered to.
