Our Client a leading Relocation Services Management Company is seeking to employ an experienced Relocation Services Business Development Manager.

The overall purpose of the Relocation Services Business Development Manager is to contribute to the cash flow and profitability of the company by servicing existing accounts and developing new business in designated territory. Work will be mainly self-initiated, and finished work will be passed to the support team. In the course of doing the work, the person in this position will work closely with the General or Branch Manager, Relocation Specialists, Program Manager, Client Service Manager Claims Specialist, Corporate Information Systems, Director of Finance, Company Secretary, Marketing Coordinator and Data Collector (telemarketer).

As Relocation Services Business Development Manager your main focus will be to procure new business in assigned territory.

Responsibilities will include:

Researching and calling potential accounts, setting up appointments and following up on potential business.
Close sales by establishing signed service agreement and implementation process.
Work with CSM to advise Operations of the new account’s requirements.
Monitor first several booking closely with Operations to ensure quality service, and communicate frequently with new accounts to ensure that their needs are fulfilled.
Procure repeat business so that there is a continuous flow of shipments in assigned territory.
Call, visit and entertain existing accounts to develop and strengthen long-term relationships.
Continue to sell to existing accounts to reaffirm the benefits and present new service offerings and maintain an awareness of shipment activity.
Perform sales and marketing activities
Take sales trips to potential and existing accounts as well as partners.
Prepare effective sales materials, presentations and proposals
Attend and participate in conventions, to seek new business and to enhance relationships with current accounts/agents/vendors.
Select quality agents in assigned territory and build/maintain rapport with them to develop reliable sources of quality agent services.
Effectively act as a liaison with agents and their territories.
Help ensure optimum gross profit on shipments in assigned territory.
Advise and participate in profit discussion for rate quotes and billing in a way that optimizes profit, maintaining a strong relationship with the account.
Take final responsibility for the profit level of shipments in assigned territory.
Promote cooperation, cohesiveness, identification and synergy among individuals within the organization/department teams.
