This can include clinical negligence claims, complaints, medical and dental council inquiries, legal and ethical dilemmas, disciplinary procedures, inquests and fatal accident inquiries.

We are recruiting for a Vendor Manager, to work in our IT Operations division, based in our Leeds office. IT Operations provides the highest quality technology-based services, in the most cost-effective manner, to support MPS's business strategy and strategic change programme. The department develops, enhances and manages applications and infrastructure through appropriate architecture streams to provision highly effective, reliable, secure, and innovative information systems to support MPS in its delivery of a world class service by exceptional staff.

Membership provides access to expert advice and support together with the right to request indemnity for any complaints or claims arising from professional practice.

The purpose of this role is to provide responsibility for the overall management of the vendor/supplier management process and to manage any staff directly associated with this function. The role holder will develop the capabilities and competencies by applying a disciplined vendor management framework and will maintain discipline and achieve business outcomes with strong vendor governance.

We are looking for candidates with previous supplier vendor management experience, across a large enterprise. In addition, we would also expect experience of developing supplier contracts, practical experience of chairing meetings and good negotiating skills, especially when determining the contents of new contracts or managing contractual disputes.

Relationship Management skills are essential and we would like to see applications from candidates with High Value contract management experience.
