A fantastic hotel based in Berkshire is looking for a positive and proactive Reservationist. The role is Monday to Friday either 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm and is looking for someone to purely focus on Accommodation reservations.

The role will involve working closely with the Revenue Manager, Sales and Reception Teams and undertaking administrative tasks.

Role & Responsibilities

It is your responsibility to drive revenue in line with budgeted targets and achieve KPI targets as required by the company

· To answer the telephone in a friendly and efficient manner as detailed in the SOP manual.

· To have full up-to-date knowledge of the hotel and services

· To deal with accommodation / lunch / dinner / spa enquiries and bookings

· To promote guest awareness of the hotel facilities and cross-sell at every opportunity.

· To take reservations and enter bookings on to the system

· To confirm reservation to guests / companies

· To ensure that correspondence is dealt with in accordance with hotel policy and procedure

· Adopt a sales attitude at all times, passing on all sales leads for follow up in order to maximise room sales, additional extras, facilities and revenue

· Maintain freesale and close out in order to maximise revenue, ensuring a maximum yield at every opportunity.

· Upsell as frequently as possible to ascertain special occasions and to add as many comments as possible to reservation retails.

· To ensure that reservations are pulled off from the system, email and other sources at set intervals determined by business demand.

· Maintenance of Guest History with all relevant data.

· To update the relevant managers of VIP reservations on a weekly basis.

· When necessary, to ensure all calls are passed to the relevant department/persons.

· To allocate guest rooms

· To set up groups bookings ready for check outs with correct billing instructions

· To print checkers reports and verifying reservations for 3 days, 7 days and 1 month

· To maximise selling opportunities by adding customer value at every opportunity
