ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN (4 ON 6 OFF SHIFTS - LIVERPOOL AREA) CIRCA £24P/H PLUS A GREAT WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND ALTHOUGH 6/12 MONTH CONTRACT THERE IS DEFINITE LONG TERM POTENTIAL. THIS ROLE WAS CREATED BY THE PREVIOUS INCUMBENT BEING PROMOTED AND KEPT LONGER TERM. WORLD LEADING COMPANY SYNONYMOUS WITH HIGH QUALITY.

The Client

Our client is quite simply one of the world's leading companies in the pharmaceutical industry. As part of their continued growth they are presently seeking an Electrical & Instrument Technician for their growing Liverpool plant, on an initial 6 or 12 month contract but with definite longer term potential. This role is a 4 on 6 off shift (2 days on, 2 nightson, 6 off).

The Role

Installation/maintenance of electrical, instrument and process control plant and equipment to support the site in meeting its business goals

Responsibilities

-

To ensure all electrical instrumentation and control equipment operates safely and with maximum efficiency
-

To deal with faults/breakdowns as quickly as possible whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship
-

To calibrate instrumentation and log all meter/instrument readings as required - Operation of process plant

Complete value added activities as requested by Process Manager
-

To do running repairs without supervision on all equipment and where appropriate take direction for prioritisation from the Process manager

Address the root cause of any failure, take the appropriate action to resolve and feedback learning/observations to enable processes to be improved thus preventing future repeat failures

To participate in scheduled planned E&I activities

Work with the Company`s core values and work processes

Ensuring the housekeeping of the work area is maintained to the highest standard.

Carry out all operations by the safest possible manner
-

Adhere to Company policies and procedures as required appertaining to Safety, Personnel, Training, Quality, environment

Essential Skills & Experience Required

Time served / NVQ or above in electrical, instrumentation or electronics (ideally instrument biased)
Experience working in a process environment (pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical etc.)
