The Business

My client is a privately-owned group of businesses in Harrogate with a presence in property, manufacturing and retail sectors. Due to a recent investment decision by the board, the existing Financial Controller will be seconded onto a 12 month systems upgrade project in Q4.

The business is therefore looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to cover the day to day running of the department.

The Role

Reporting into the Managing Director in Harrogate, you and your team of 5 staff will look after all day to day accounting for the group.

Your role will include management accounts production, commercial analysis, VAT & Tax computations, statutory accounts production, and additional commercial projects for the MD.

Stock analysis and reporting to the Operations Director and the board will also be an important monthly focus.

You will be supported by 2 long serving part qualified management accountants and 3 transactional staff.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller ideally from a product based or property background.

You will also have experience managing a junior team and the challenge of liaising with a fast paced and driven senior management team.

Candidates should ideally be formally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) although those who are qualified by experience and have considerable sector exposure as listed above are also encouraged to apply.

My client is willing to consider both day rate and fixed term contractors.
