An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated graduate destined for a career in secondary education to work as a Maths Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role could start immediately and will provide the successful applicant with an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge of secondary education ahead of a PGCE, Teach First or School Direct course.

As a Maths Teaching Assistant you will supporting the learning of pupils across KS3 and 5 cover. The role is both challenging and rewarding in equal measure and demands an adaptable and hard working individual. Key responsibilities include providing support to learners in class lessons as well as taking small groups and individual pupils out of lessons for personal learning interventions. Additional responsibilities will include lesson planning, resource preparation and making sure that the classroom is properly set up for the lessons and activities ahead.

To be considered for this Maths Teaching Assistant position, you will be motivated graduate in Maths or a related subject with an excellent academic record. The school are keen to appoint a confident and enthusiastic graduate with prior experience of supporting learning or working with children, excellent subject knowledge and natural relationship building skills.
