This is a specialist provision for children and young people aged between 11 and 19 with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Person Specification for Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant
This Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant position would suit a charismatic and experienced SEN professional or a graduate (with a 2:1 or above) who has practice working with SEN children and can quickly develop firm professional relationships. The school wants to recruit a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant who has a warm personality which makes their pupils feel at ease and a fun, enthusiastic nature. We want to see Secondary SEN Teaching Assistants with the drive to excel in their regular tasks and take on extra duties and more responsibilities whenever needed.

About the Role of Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant on a day-to-day basis, you will be guiding pupils with a statement of SEN through their academic and social development. Part of your Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant role will include making an important contribution to the planning and preparation of lessons, perhaps even taking on this duty solo once your confidence levels are where they need to be.
