Who you'll be working for:

My client is a small, dynamic, London based design, build, and project management company. Working together with a variety of clients to create environments that maximise the effectiveness of their property, we advise and support our clients to create spaces that exceed expectations, delivered on time and to budget.

My client employs a multi-disciplined team with complementary skills from design and specification, to project and cost management. Every member of our team listens carefully to client requirements, applying creativity, knowledge and experience to interpret the brief and create practical and robust solutions. The fast pace of our work is determined by our ability to collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers alike at every stage of the project. This intensity is underpinned by a focus on quality and confident decision-making.

Some of your responsibilities:

* Taking ownership of projects, liaising directly with the client from the brief stage, through the design process to develop finalised concepts.
* The role is a client facing role and requires regular presentations of ideas and schemes to clients.
* To manage and maintain open client relationships (working along-side Business Development Managers and Account Managers).
* Working within a project team, including wider disciplines to ensure that the project is delivered on time and to budget.
* Working with Project Managers and Contractors to ensure the design integrity and provide specification support.
* Carrying out feasibility planning on a variety of scales, surveying spaces where required and producing layout options.
* Working to building and planning regulations.

You must have:

Core Competencies:

* The candidate must be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* To have an interest to pursue personal development (i.e. in areas including workplace trends and new technologies).
* The candidate must be able to manage own time and workload effectively, often working to short timescales.
* The candidate must have an eye for creative space planning, interpreting client briefs. Ability to demonstrate technical detailing for client signoff and production stage.
* To develop and produce exciting, creative design schemes (including producing finishes boards), tailored to the client's requirements.


* A good understanding of current and future workplace trends and strategy.
* A strong knowledge of commercial furniture solutions and suppliers to support new ways of working, and in addition, FF&E knowledge.
* Must have a good knowledge of, and ability to implement compliance and building regulations.


* Must be Autocad fluent (up to 2015).
* An understanding of Google Sketch-up is preferred. A knowledge of Indesign and Photoshop is preferred.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Publisher, Photoshop and PowerPoint specifically).
