Responsibilities of the Optometrist
The role will involve conducting 13 sight tests in 30 minute time slots ensuring plenty of time to make a strong recommendation. Contact lens fittings, Glaucoma screening and aftercares are also part of the role.
My client is looking for someone with a good balance between being clinically minded but also commercially aware, not hard sell and no targets with a relaxed pace of work.
Requirements of the Optometrist
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2/3 years post qualification experience ideally within a clinical practice but will also consider newly qualified.
You will possess excellent communication skills and will be passionate about delivering the highest possible levels of care.
You will be hard working and dynamic – happy to go the extra mile. Within this company everyone is expected to take a certain amount of ownership and to treat their patents as though they are theirs.
Compensation for the Optometrist
For your efforts this company is willing to offer a more than competitive salary around the £60k mark for the right person, there are also additional benefits and the opportunity to develop your skills.
