The company is going through a period of transition and the position of AMA has become available. The business has implemented an end to end manufacturing system, Unity, and requires an experienced AMA to join the new Finance Team.

Purchase Ledger

  • Preparing the weekly/monthly payment run, compiling the invoices for final approval and sending remittances to suppliers.
  • Working with the Financial Controller to review monthly accruals/prepayment schedule.

Duties and responsibilities:

Sales Ledger

  • Monitoring Credit Control, liaising with clients when required to chase both deposit and balance payments.
  • Monitor and review Aged Debtors with the Sales team and then monthly with Head of Finance.
  • Working with the Shipping Coordinator to ensure all proof of export documents are obtained, comply with HMRC legislation and are filed with corresponding sales invoices.

Banking / Cash flow/Petty Cash

  • Maintaining and reconciling the business bank accounts and banking of cheques received and charging of client credit cards.
  • Day to day management of office petty cash, reconciling and posting to ledger.
  • Weekly and monthly updating and checking the cash-flow.


  • Month end process with Financial Controller
  • Assist the Financial Controller with any other duties as required, including month and year end tasks.
  • Comply with best practise, including legal compliance, data protection, and Health and Safety.
  • Represent the department both internally and externally.
  • Develop strong and positive relationships with all colleagues.

Qualifications and for the Position:

  • Preferably Accounting graduate studying towards qualification or equivalent qualification
