PR Manager - 12 Month FTC
We have an exciting opportunity to join the in-house press office of a global management consultancy as a maternity cover over 12 months, planning and delivering both creative and responsive news driven PR campaigns across the firm, with ownership of the UK PR strategy, plan and budget.
This role is relatively unique in the sense that it is solely focussed around press and media relations. With that in mind it has a very active and busy remit that both has a lot of visibility within the firm and externally, maintaining strong relationships with national, online and broadcast media. Delivering integrated and insightful PR campaigns positioning the brand across tier one media is at the heart of this role, alongside driving thought leadership and insight based content to market.
The role will also manage agency relationships with a global focus, leading on the performance review process ensuring maximum return on investment. Media training and upskilling management and consultants around press and media briefings will give the role holder a go-to identity within the firm.
Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience in media relations, and be able to define, write and pitch top level editorial ideas and stories into media. Experience of working with social media to engage with journalists would be advantageous, alongside more traditional networking skills.
