£29,000 pro rata Plus Excellent Benefits including Car Allowance (£1,800)

Our client is a leading not-for-profit organisation that builds, manages and maintains homes for people across the South West. They are now looking for a Communications Co-ordinator to join their team on a contract until January 2018.

You will have the chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of our client’s communications strategy and make a positive, lasting impact on the organisation’s reputation.

As a Communications Co-ordinator, you’ll provide a comprehensive news, media and PR service for our client.

In this exciting role, you will:

- Produce a high quality portfolio of corporate publications and ensure they are delivered on time, on brand and within budget
- Deliver short, medium and long-term PR action plans
- Identify and promote positive news stories about our client’s work
- React to all stories and enquiries swiftly and efficiently
- Develop an internal and external publicity programme, including publications, media releases and events
- Build strong working relationships with local and national media
- Arrange interviews, photo calls, photo and broadcast shoots
- Maintain our client’s internet and intranet content, promote brand guidelines and assist stakeholders with written content

Interested? To be considered, you will need:

- Experience of developing and delivering PR plans, with evidence of results achieved
- A track record of generating and successfully planning and reacting to media stories
- Proven experience of organising events and/or conferences

As a Communications Co-ordinator, you’ll be a confident and creative communicator who can produce professional, engaging and persuasive content. Able to work well, both individually and as part of a team, you’ll also be able to manage your own workload to tight deadlines.

Ideally, you’ll have a CIPR qualification, but this is by no means essential.
