Prospero Teaching are now proudly recruiting on behalf of a few excellent schools in Bristol who are looking for a School Caretakers that are hard-working and reliable with good attention to detail.

The ideal applicants will be approachable, proactive, self motivated and polite (you will be the face of the school to parents, students and contractors). Ideally you will have previous experience working as a school caretaker or in a similar site maintenance position but the is not necessary as full training will be provided.

This School Caretaker roles are temporary, permanent part time, and day to day supply starting in September.

Working hours vary depending on the school. Part time roles are split between two shifts 7:30am- 9:00am and 3:00pm-6:00pm. There is also the opportunity to work overtime during school holidays.

Your role as a School Caretaker will include but is not limited to:

- Opening and closing of the school site
- General maintenance and repairs
- Providing directions to site visitors
- Decorating
- Setting up and clearing away equipment
- Portering
- Grounds maintenance
- Securing buildings
- Setting up for parent/teacher evenings and assemblies

The ideal school caretaker will be someone who:

- is confident to work without supervision
- has experience working within Health and Safety guidelines including appropriate technique for lifting etc.
- can learn quickly and is a problem solver

All schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of young people. The successful school caretaker will need to provide 2 years worth of reference (including a most recent employer) and a valid UK DBS.

A driving licence would be an advantage.
