Payments / Settlements / Accounts Payable Supervisor

£35k-£40k plus Benefits

The client is a leading UK provider of foreign exchange, international payment solutions and related activities, servicing both corporate and private clients, with offices overseas. They are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the Back Office function, to manage a team, and to ensure standards are maintained. The Back Office not only processes a high volume of payments, it is also a key part of customer services and has a high level of customer interaction.

Responsibilities include;

  • Managing, mentoring and motivating the Payments team
  • Managing the Customer Queries, ensuring complete satisfaction.
  • Processing inbound payments
  • Authorising Payments
  • Working closely with the Corporate and Private Client Traders to ensure an optimal External and Internal Customer Service
  • Ensuring that payment deadlines are met and communicated with the business/customers
  • Delivering a best-in-class customer service
  • Training staff to deliver a high standard of service and been involved in staff appraisals
  • Improving customer service procedures and standards for the organisation and department
  • Produce feedback and liaise with other departments to identify improvements
  • Learning and keeping up to date with industry changes, products and services.

We are looking for a good Manager with at least 2 years’ experience in a back office/payments environment with a proven track record in delivering a high level of customer service. You will need to take ownership of the role, suggesting improvements to process and training. There are plenty of upside to both the business and career, the current strategy is a doubling of size within 3 years, and they are on course to achieve this.
