First Line Support, Software Support Analyst

Brighton, East Sussex

Up to £25k plus benefits

First line support Analyst / Systems Engineer with a couple of years’ experience is required by an ever-growing and upbeat Software House based in the heart of Brighton. This role will see you joining an established team and providing support in a Windows environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day first line technical support of internal users including: Desktop and laptop hardware and software support
  • Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Basic network troubleshooting
  • User account creation and management
  • Server Hardware and Operating Systems
  • Support of remote users currently located in four countries in different time zones
  • Windows Server housekeeping and data management
  • Assess, prioritise and resolve issues raised through the internal helpdesk system, escalating wherever necessary
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks including regular checks, backups and performance reviews
  • Work with other technical teams to resolve issues where required skills lie outside the infrastructure team
  • Produce documentation and effective communication of any changes to systems and processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Ideally 2 years PC support working within a Microsoft based environment
  • Proven experience installing, configuring, supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10 and Office Applications
  • Experience troubleshooting basic networking problems
  • Understanding and basic experience of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to own issues and projects to successful delivery and beyond the go-live implementation
