If so our College are looking for a Students’ Union Apprentice to join our Student Union team. The successful candidate will help and provide support to the Student’s Union in empowering and providing a voice for students to make a positive change to their surrounding and themselves. The Role

As Student Union’s Apprentice, your main role will be to provide assistance and guidance to the Student’s Union. Responsibilities will include the setting up of clubs and societies, supporting them with promotion, funding and the organisation of events. The successful candidate will also be a main administrator, with the responsibility of contacting students, typing up survey results, research and development projects and purchasing. As a member of the Student Union team you will be expected to work together with others and follow instruction and guidance when given, forming strong working relationships. Listening to students’ feedback and making improvements in line with the student voice will also be key to the fulfilling of this role. Furthermore, you must be an organised individual who works efficiently under pressure and to deadlines.

Key skills, responsibilities and attitudes

  • Minimum of 3 GCSE’s at Grade C or above to include English and Maths
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive, helpful and confident individual
  • Ability to follow instruction and guidelines
  • IT literate
  • Able to work and remain professional when working amongst peers
  • Commitment to successfully completing the apprenticeship either in customer service or business administration
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn
