This well-established company are looking for an experienced commercially aware retail manager who is able to dispense to all levels. This opportunity is more tailored towards the management rather than dispensing but requires a candidate with an optical background who can dispense, my client is looking for a strong character who could manage a team and make sure the team is following the daily plan.
You will be responsible for managing the dispensing and collections team, training and supporting other colleagues, lowering cost of wastage, setting and monitoring KPI’s, performing regular reviews and dispensing along side the team when required
Working within this multi-level, modern equipped store and well supported team, you will be able to demonstrate first and foremost excellent customer service as well as a high level of sales ability.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager
The role will entail supervising and leading a team on the shop floor (daily team of 12-15 people) you will also be dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. This person is also required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Assistant Manager
Must need some level of management within optics (12 months+) the level of experience will reflect salary
Must be confident in dispensing ability, driven and eager to develop your career.
Looking for leadership skills but also an approachable and customer focussed personality.
As an Assistant Manager within this practice you will work on the shopfloor in the dispensing team. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general trouble shooting.
