Due to the continued success and expansion of the group, we are now looking to recruit Theft Handler to join our dynamic and forward thinking teams.

Job Description

The purpose of a Theft Handler is to efficiently and effectively handle theft and fire claims identified as being suitable for a Fast Track process, through to settlement or to make a referral to the Investigation team if fraud concerns arise.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• To efficiently and effectively handle theft and fire claims which have been identified as appropriate for the Fast Track route.
• Carry out phone interviews within 48hrs of notification
• Respond promptly and pro-actively to incoming telephone calls and correspondence by use of telephone, e-mail and letter.
• Screen incoming theft and fire claims against fraud indicators and other risk factors, identifying, and ascertain which cases need to be reallocated where further investigation is required
• Carry out telephone interviews with claimants utilising specialist cognitive interviewing and conversation management techniques in order to determine risk and separate honesty and inconsistency
• Utilise desktop tools (MIAFTR, CUE, etc) as well as a various other internet checks and databases to assist with claimant profiling
• Provide clear instructions to, and subsequently liaise with specialist investigative suppliers including field investigators, engineers, etc
• Validate documents and keys
