Responsibilities of the Optometrist
The role will involve conducting sight tests in 30 minute time slots ensuring plenty of time to make a strong recommendation. Contact lens fittings and aftercares are also part of the role. As this is an independent company that is renowned for going the extra mile you will be expected to come onto the shop floor to answer questions and get involved with patients as well.
Requirements of the Optometrist
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2/3 years post qualification experience ideally within a clinical practice. You will possess excellent communication skills and will be passionate about delivering the highest possible levels of care. You will be hard working and dynamic – happy to go the extra mile. Within this company everyone is expected to take a certain amount of ownership and to treat their patents as though they are theirs.
Compensation for the Optometrist
For your efforts this company is willing to offer a more than competitive salary around the £55k mark for the right person there are also additional benefits and the opportunity to develop your skills maybe with an independent prescribers course for example.
