Our national client are one of the UK’s largest storage companies, a Business that has had huge success since its formation 2 years ago after taking over from a previous business. Operating from 4 UK sites and serving multiple centres across the UK they are able to supply their products with ease to their clients.

Due to these successes a brilliant job has arisen within their sales function for a Business Development Manager which will be 50% account management and 50% new business to join their team in Tilbury reporting to the Sales Manager who forms part of a management team with over 200 years in the industry.

Mainly an office based role but some travel will be required for this Full Time job paying up to £30,000 plus a 14% profit related bonus on an annual basis and a company car, your job purpose and objectives include

Provide a Sales and Marketing function

Manage and retain existing UK business by creating an understanding of customer’s current and future requirements

Generate business by identifying new markets and business opportunies to deliver sustainable and profitable growth for the business

Promote and ensure the business is recognised as quality, safe storage operator through attendance at Industry events and trade shows

Your Day to Day responsibilities

To manage existing accounts and understand customer needs and expectations

Obtaining profitable results by developing sales strategies whilst implementing the
sales funnel process to attract new business

Negotiate contracts, contract changes to achieve commercially advantageous

Developing business plans to expand the client base and maximise income

Maintaining and improving relationships with clients

Providing sales forecasting to the sales managers

Understanding competitors positions and anticipate areas of Business development

Assisting the setting of the UK budgets and analysis performance against budgets

Monitor and analysing the performance of client accounts

Entertaining of customers and clients

Attending UK wide trade shows and sites for national meetings

To be suitable for this role you will possess the following

A strong sales background ideally within the Storage, Warehousing or distribution background

You will be able to analysing sales figures, good with numbers and act on this to enhance your sales figures

A team player is a must for this role with outstanding interpersonal skills along with the ability to follow company processes

Due to the travel with the role you will need to be a driver.
