Business Development Manager
£40,000 to £55,000 & monthly bonus (OTE £36k) plus car and benefits.
Base location is flexible within the territory of South Wales & South West.

The Business Development Manager will assume responsibility for developing and managing a network of introducer relationships within their territory, to proactively protect existing business volumes and grow revenue from existing introducers whilst simultaneously developing new intermediaries and business networks in order to exceed new business targets and develop a strong presence in the territory.
Your focus will be the generation of first and second charge loans, commercial bridging loans, development finance and buy to lets.
This is a true business development rather than account or relationship management role.
Produce a territory plan to define how new business targets will be achieved
Identify, qualify & pursue new target intermediaries in the region
Develop and capture appropriate account plans, with supporting contact strategies, target information and activity on CRM
Network extensively both internally and externally building key introducer relationships, leveraging your product knowledge and market expertise to increase business
Actively manage your sales pipeline and work with the customer management team to close potential opportunities
Work with senior managers, telephone sales, operational teams and marketing to effectively and efficiently maximise business opportunities in key target intermediaries and the region
Be proactive in proposition development; feeding back market insight, broker, introducer and customer requirements and competitor information to the product development teams
Be a brand ambassador for the company in the territory, enhancing the reputation of the business
Educate broker & intermediary teams about our products and lending criteria, supporting and monitoring the packaging quality broker packaging performance
Skills & experience:
A strong understanding of the secured lending market
A proven track record of exceeding targets and delivering exceptional sales results in a fast paced environment
Ability to work to challenging targets
An experienced sales professional - quick to spot and exploit opportunities - excellent planning, targeting & organisational capabilities
Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
Account leadership - able to clearly articulate a vision of any plan with passion, ambition and energy to create support from colleagues.
